I ran the 10k as part of the Colorado Marathon in Fort Collins last Sunday. It went well! I had trained for it, despite Aaron continually telling me 'You don't need to train. It's only 6.2 miles. [Insert name of random people we know who are overweight] could do it, so you can, too.'
Here's a shot of Elias and I on our drive to the 7 a.m. start
It was fairly cold for being May 1st. Aaron asked if he could get a picture of the girls; this was the result:

My dad was the first to come in. He and I had planned on running together, as we ran 6 miles the week before together, and kept in sync with one another the whole time. Not suprisingly, though, about 3 blocks into the race, he turned around, waved, and yelled that he'd see me at the finish.
Jenna and I ran together. It made time go by fast, and we kept one another going at a good pace. Here we are right before the finish:
My goal was to finish in under an hour. Mission accomplished. Time will tell whether or not I'll do another!
